I built a device using RapidConnect solutions and I am encountering some challenges interoperating with a specific device from another vendor. Can MMB help me diagnose the issue?

Yes! MMB has amassed a tremendous amount of interoperability knowledge from years of interoperability testing and strong relationships with all of the leading device vendors. Our first recommendation is to choose devices that have been built against the public Zigbee standards and, ideally, passed the official Zigbee certification testing. Here are the steps to help us help you:

  1. Check the Zigbee Alliance's database of certified products here or ask the device vendor to confirm that the device has been built against one of the following standards:
    • Zigbee 3.0
    • Zigbee Home Automation
    • Zigbee Light Link
    • Zigbee Smart Energy (requires different firmware from MMB)
  2. Generate a network capture to show the messages that are being exchanged between devices over the Zigbee network. Review the following page to learn how to do this: How to Perform Zigbee Network Captures
  3. Send the capture and a description of the issue to your MMB Account Manager.
