Is the serial library capable of detecting and reporting invalid received frames?
Invalid frames may be frames with an unknown "Start of Frame" (results in no processing), unknown primary or secondary header, or bad checksum. In current implementations, frames with bad checksums are silently discarded but frames with invalid primary/secondary headers are passed up to the application in a base Frame object, indicating that the frame is valid according to the protocol structure but otherwise unknown.
