RapidConnect Desktop makes configuring attribute reports simple.
In the 'Binding' window, double click on one of the Binding Table entries (marked 1 below) to configure attribute reporting using that binding. If users have not set any bindings please see the Binding section of this guide.
Once a binding entry is double clicked the coordinator will execute attribute discovery on the target cluster → endpoint to discover attributes and also discover what attribute configuration are already registered on the source device.
Below is an example of a configurable attributes for the On/Off cluster. Configuring attributes for reporting uses the Configure Reporting Command (0x06)(see Zigbee Cluster Library Specification for more information).
- Cluster Configure Reporting Tab: A new tab will be created for each cluster to be configured. Each attribute configuration for that cluster will be displayed in the Attribute Reporting Table.
- Attribute Reporting Table Entries: This section allows users to configure attribute reporting for reportable attributes. Example below for Attribute 0x0000 (on off) for the On/Off Cluster
- Attribute: Attribute to be configured
- Direction: The direction field specifies whether values of the attribute are to be reported, or whether reports of the attribute are to be received.
- Attribute DataType: Data type of attribute
- Min Reporting Interval: Minimum interval that reports shall be issued
- Max Reporting Interval: Maximum interval that reports shall be issued
- Timeout: Maximum expected time between reports
- Reportable Change: The reportable change field shall contain the minimum change to the attribute that will result in a report being issued.
- Reportable: Whether this attribute is reportable or not
- Status: Current Status of the attribute report entry, e.g Success, Fail, Not Found
- Actions: Available actions, e.g. Disable attribute reporting
- Configure For Reporting: This button will sent the Configure Reporting Command using the parameters set in the entry.
