To operate the RapidConnect USB Stick with a Linux machine, a driver for the CP210x bridge chip is required. The driver is included in the following Linux kernel versions (and all subsequent versions):

  • v3.0.88 - longterm
  • v3.2.50 - longterm
  • v3.4.55 - longterm
  • v3.10.4 - longterm
  • v3.11-rc3 - stable
  • v3.12-rc1 – mainline
It can be found in the following directory:
linux-x.y.z\\drivers\\usb\\serial\\cp210x.c
Where x.y.z is the kernel version.

If the RapidConnect USB Stick module is not automatically supported for your kernel, contact MMB for additional instructions.
