Network State Management

The Host may issue the following commands to effect the application Network State during runtime:

 

The Host is automatically kept informed of all changes to the network state via Network Status Response commands issued by the Module.

Once the Host has prompted the application to form or join a network, the Host may also permit joining by issuing the Permit Join command.

The following figure illustrates the application’s network state machine, showing the transitions between the network states.

The figure does not show the path from the Network Up state to the Network Down state, a transition imposed by the reception of a Leave Network command.
