How to Test Using RapidHA Desktop

The guide below explains how to set up a functional test or demonstration of a Dimmable Light. The following hardware will be required:

RapidConnect Development Board (Z357PA31-DEV). You will need one unit per LED driver. When you purchase it from Avnet, it will be loaded with our standard RapidHA firmware. You will need to connect the Development Board to a PC via USB, install the USB driver and our RapidHA Desktop software (both available here), and complete a Serial Firmware Upgrade to load the latest version of RapidHA Lighting firmware on the Development Board. The firmware image (MBL file format) is available here. Serial Firmware Upgrade instructions are included in this file.
RapidConnect USB Stick (Z357PA30-USB). This will serve as your network coordinator (using RapidHA Desktop to send commands over the air to the other devices). You can also use a RapidConnect Development Board as the network coordinator, as long as it's running our standard RapidHA firmware.
