Using Web Sockets

This page describes how to connect to a server running /wiki/spaces/IN/pages/111333692 using RapidConnect Desktop.

Add Web Socket

  1. Click the "Connect to Web Sockets..." button (marked as 1 below), which will bring up the "Connect to Web Socket" dialog.
  2. Click "Add Web Socket" (marked as 2 below)
  3. Enter the hostname and port you'd like to connect to in the pop-up that appears.
  4. Click Ok

Connect to Web Socket

If an Intrepid Socket Server was detected at the address:port entered, you will see the EUI of the Module connected to the other side.

  1. Highlight the EUI of the Available Socket/Module
  2. The configuration details will be displayed in the Module Properties panel.
  3. Press Continue to proceed.

Conclusion

At this point, the Desktop will behave as if it is connected directly to the Module.
