Using Web Sockets
This page describes how to connect to a server running /wiki/spaces/IN/pages/111333692 using RapidConnect Desktop.
Add Web Socket
- Click the "Connect to Web Sockets..." button (marked as 1 below), which will bring up the "Connect to Web Socket" dialog.
- Click "Add Web Socket" (marked as 2 below)
- Enter the hostname and port you'd like to connect to in the pop-up that appears.
- Click Ok
Connect to Web Socket
If an Intrepid Socket Server was detected at the address:port entered, you will see the EUI of the Module connected to the other side.
- Highlight the EUI of the Available Socket/Module
- The configuration details will be displayed in the Module Properties panel.
- Press Continue to proceed.
Conclusion
At this point, the Desktop will behave as if it is connected directly to the Module.
